The Donald
How Did It Happen?
The Gathering Storm
Darwin Porter, Danforth Prince
This is a revised edition of a book which we hastily issued, with the (thwarted) expectation of elevated sales, eight years ago, just two "high stress, high-anxiety" months before Donald Trump won the Presidential election of November, 2016.
What could possibly have gone wrong? Moments before its anticipated release, perhaps with political motivations of its own, our then-distributor, the National Book Network, abruptly switched strategies and refused to sell it, throwing into last-minute chaos our carefully orchestrated hopes and dreams.
Hurriedly, we gathered our marbles and released it instead through alternative (but less extensive) distribution channels. Within a few months, its first edition garnered impressive reviews, a handful of prestigious literary awards, and cautious applause from both sides of the political divide.
Now, on the eve of Donald Trump's bid for a second Presidential term, we believe that some of the mysteries associated with SECOND TERM ("Comeback") DONALD lie in early clues he dropped, many of which we recorded in this book.
We present it to readers as a Rosetta Stone, an insight into VINTAGE TRUMP and THE WAY WE WERE at the time of its first introduction to the reading public, way back in 2016. This is a historic overview of THE DONALD and HOW HE DID IT, a horrified but compelling memoir for future generations.God Bless Us All, and God Bless America. We salute, with reverence, the American concepts of Democracy, Free Speech, Prosperity, and Justice for All.

BLOOD MOON’S EXPOSE of DONALD, THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING. WHAT READERS SHOULD EXPECT.
About the Author:
“Darwin Porter is the master of guilty pleasures. There is nothing like reading him for passing the hours. He is the Nietzsche of Naughtiness, the Goethe of Gossip, the Proust of Pop Culture. Porter knows all the nasty buzz anyone has ever heard whispered in dark bars, dim alleys, and confessional booths. And lovingly, precisely, and in as straightforward a manner as an oncoming train, his prose whacks you between the eyes with the greatest gossip since Kenneth Anger. Some would say better than Anger.” (as quoted from Alan W. Petrucelli’s THE ENTERTAINMENT REPORT at Examiner.com).
Porter began his career writing about politics and the entertainment industry for Knight Newspapers and The Miami Herald. Today, he’s one of the most prolific biographers in the world. His portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, J. Edgar Hoover, Vivien Leigh, Laurence Olivier, Howard Hughes, John and Jackie Kennedy, Paul Newman, Merv Griffin, Steve McQueen, Marlon Brando, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, and Michael Jackson have generated widespread reviews and animated radio and blogsite commentaries worldwide. Some of his biographies have been serialized to millions of readers in The Sunday Times of London and The Mail on Sunday.
Porter is also the well-known original author of many editions of The Frommer Guides, a respected travel guidebook series that’s among the most prominent and well-respected in the world.
